The River

Hiwassee Acres borders over a mile of the historic Hiwassee River. The river originates from a spring in north Georgia and flows north up to North Carolina before it turns west towards Tennessee. It flows a total of 147 miles before spilling into the Tennessee River. We have a perfect spot for you to access the river for kayaking, paddleboarding or swimming. We have Adirondack chairs and hanging chairs beside the river for those that want to enjoy the river’s beauty from the shoreline.

The Outdoors

Immerse yourself in the surrounding nature with 225 acres at your disposal. Walk it, Hike it, bike it, drive it, whatever… the choice is yours. Laugh with your family or friends as you enjoy disc golf, pickleball, or corn hole. If you are into fishing, the stocked pond and the river are ready for you!

The Farm

Spend time petting, loving on and enjoying our farm animals! From the mischievous goats, to our sweet cow, Addie, to our egg laying hens, we guarantee they will bring a smile to your face. You are also welcome to join us any evening at feeding time. While doing so, don’t forget to grab some eggs for breakfast, straight from the farm.
